A tempting guilty pleasure twist on the traditional Daiquiri, created in the 1950s. The original daiquiri was invented in the early 1900s, when American mine engineer Jennings Cox was serving drinks to his workers in the Daiquiri region of Cuba. Rumor has it that Jennings ran out of gin, so he started shaking cocktails with white rum instead—introducing the now iconic trio of rum, lime, and sugar. Everyone loved the combination of flavors, and the Daiquiri was born. The beauty of this drink is its simplicity of ingredients.
